About the Team
We are a group of students from the Universitat Jaume in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. We are passionate about prosthetics given our close relationship with the Biomechanics and Ergonomics research group. We aim to develop a functional low cost and open-access prosthetic hand.

About the Pilot
Claudia, a brave and determined young woman, defies expectations and prepares to participate in the CYBATHLON. From birth, she faced the challenge of right-handed agenesis, a condition that did not stop her from embracing life with passion and determination.
For Claudia, the CYBATHLON is not just a competition, but an opportunity to inspire others and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. Her participation is a powerful reminder that technology can be a great equaliser, providing opportunities for empowerment and autonomy to those in need.
About the Device
Our prosthetic hand is a voluntary closing terminal device that is mechanically actuated via shoulder protraction. The current distinctive features of our design are the underactuation of the finger flexion mechanism, which allows for adaptative grasps, and the ratchet mechanism which allows the pilot to rest while maintaining a firm grasp of the held object.
