Wheelchair Series 2019
The CYBATHLON Wheelchair Series took place on 5 and 6 May 2019 in Kawasaki, Japan. Supported by the Swiss Embassy, the event was hosted at Culttz Kawasaki. Five teams from Japan along with teams from Hongkong, Russia and Switzerland participated in the qualification races and the finals. They showcased their latest technology solutions to overcome the challenges in everyday life that people with disability face.
Challenges 2024
On 2 February 2024, the third and final CYBATHLON Challenges took place on the Road to CYBATHLON 2024. Teams competed against each other and showcased their current technology and the pilot’s skills in four selected tasks of their discipline of the CYBATHLON 2024 Races & Rules.
More InformationArm and Leg Prosthesis Series 2019
Together with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the CYBATHLON was a guest at REHAB from 16 to 18 May 2019 for a prostheses series. At the trade fair for rehabilitation, therapy, care and inclusion, competitions took place on two parallel race tracks, where pilots with an arm or leg prosthesis solved tasks from everyday life. In addition, KIT organized a symposium on "assistive and wearable robotics".
BCI, FES Test Competition Sept 2023
The test competition will take place in September 2023. We are testing the new setup and games of the two disciplines BCI and FES and reviewing the competition management and production processes to be ready for next year's CYBATHLON Challenges.
Lectures Series 2023
The CYBATHLON Lecture and Workshop series offers a platform for the CYBATHLON teams to explore specific topics related to the CYBATHLON disciplines and assistive technology development.

SPORTECH 2023
Sportech offers students, teachers, coaches, managers, athletes or simply the curious the opportunity to discover and explore the applications of scientific and technological research in sports. As part of the event, schools participate in various workshops that demonstrate in a didactic and interactive way how science and technology can be integrated into sports and everyday life.

In May 2022, teams from all over the world will be able to take part in the first CYBATHLON Challenges. The new format allows development teams to test their devices at an early stage and foster collaboration with pilots from the very beginning. The Challenges will be held decentrally at the teams' homes.

The CYBATHLON 2020 Global Edition took place on 13 and 14 November 2020 with 51 teams from 20 countries. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the teams competed in different time zones and locations. The CYBATHLON 2020 Global Edition was live streamed and consisted of the teams' races, portraits, talks with experts, and much more.

BCI Series 2019
The CYBATHLON BCI Series took place at the 8th Graz Brain-Computer Interface Conference on 17 September 2019 in cooperation with the Graz University of Technology. The event followed the overarching theme of “bridging science and application”, where the teams had the possibility to present their technologies and methods to the BCI community. Six pilots from five teams represented five countries in the Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Race.

CYBATHLON grew to be a meaningful event which interactively showcased the interplay between humans and technology.
