About the Team

Our team name (BeAGain) has two meanings ‘be a gain’ and ‘begin again’. For the 'be a gain', our effort helps the humanity by using our technology. For the 'begin again', we give disabled people courage and hope to help them live a new life.
Since April, 2018, we embarked on this project with our passions and dreams. Though it was a short period of time, we have prepared for CYBATHLON 2020 enthusiastically.

We have prepared for Cybathlon with 4 major technologies:
1. muscle fatigue compensation methods
2. asymmetric-motion compensation methods
3. FES-muscle relationship analysis
4. hip abduction compensator

Pilot - Young Hoon Kim

On July 7, 2016, Young hoon Kim suffered cervical spine cord injury due to broken neck bone in a diving accident. "I always enjoy challenging new things. I wanted to challenge even after getting in a wheelchair." says Kim. He was easily exhausted and tired from functional electrical muscle stimulation during the preparation period, but he could see for himself that he was growing. "Our goal is realized together based on the efforts of researchers who make a bicycle system and my efforts to manage physical fitness."
