Programme CYBATHLON 2024

ETH Zurich’s unique non-profit project continues! From 25 to 27 October 2024, the third edition of the CYBATHLON will take place in a global format in the SWISS Arena in Kloten near Zurich and in local hubs all around the world. Around 80 international teams from the worlds of academia and industry will compete in a unique competition. Two more disciplines are added to the original six: a race using smart visual assistive technologies and a race using assistive robots. Check the detailed programme below.

Friday, October 25

Session 1: Qualifications (Order to be defined)

In this inaugural session, teams from the Arm Prosthesis, Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), Leg Prosthesis, and Assistance Robot Races will undergo qualifying rounds.

In this session, teams from the Arm Prosthesis, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), Leg Prosthesis, and Assistance Robot Races will undergo qualifying rounds.

Saturday, October 26

Session 3: Qualifications (Order to be defined) and Finals

In this session, teams from the Arm Prosthesis, and Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) will go through the qualifications round as well as there will be finals for Leg Prosthesis Race, Functional Electrical Stimulation Bike Race, Arm Prosthesis Race and Assistance Roboto Race. The session will conclude with a medal ceremony for the disciplines that go through the finals.

Saturday, October 26

Session 4: Qualifications (Order to be defined)

In this session, teams from the Wheelchair, Exoskeleton, Brain-Computer Interface, and Vision Assistance Race will go through the qualifications rounds.

Sunday, October 27

Session 5: Qualifications (Order to be defined) and Finals

In this concluding session, teams from the Exoskeleton and Vision Assistance disciplines will compete in the qualification round, followed by the final rounds for the Vision Assistance, Brain-Computer Interface, Wheelchair, and Exoskeleton Races. The event will end with a medal ceremony for the disciplines that reach the finals.
