CYBATHLON

Just two months until CYBATHLON 2024, which takes place from 25-27 October in Zürich and various local hubs worldwide. Join us at SWISS Arena in Kloten or via the live stream at www.cybathlon.com to experience the forefront of assistive technology. Up to 80 international teams from 27 countries will compete in 8 disciplines, including the newly introduced Assistance Robot and Vision Assistance Races. There will be 9 competition hubs including the main hub in Zürich.

The races will be performed simultaneously with a minute difference in start times, showcasing the latest assistive technologies designed to help people with disabilities with everyday tasks. The discipline tasks will range from controlling avatars in video games using brain signals in the BCI race to navigating challenging terrains with exoskeletons. For example, in the Vision Assistance Race, participants will sort colours and overcome obstacles, while in the Arm Prosthesis Race, they'll detect and feel the shapes of objects with prosthetic hands, among many other similar tasks in each of the 8 disciplines. These tasks closely simulate real-life scenarios, emphasising the practical application of assistive technologies.
