Future Inclusion - Disability Rights Action Days

9 September 2022, Liebfrauen Zentrum Zurich

From 27 August to 10 September 2022, the Action Days for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will take place for the first time in the Canton of Zurich. During two weeks, various actions will
take place that contribute to the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD).

We invite you to spend a day around the CYBATHLON with us. Visit us on 9 September 2022 from 10.00 a.m. at Liebfrauen Parish Centre Zurich, Weinbergstrasse 36, 8006 Zurich.

Together with our partners from the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland, ETH Zurich's Competence Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Science (RESC) and Barrier-Free at ETH, we have put together a programme around the topic of inclusion and technology.

From 4.00 p.m., CYBATHLON pilot Thomas Krieg with VariLeg enhanced – his development team from the University of Applied Sciences in Eastern Switzerland will be waiting for you, the students from the CYBATHLON @school module who will compete against each other in a mini CYBATHLON competition and Dr. Romila Storjohann who will give you a brief insight into the Barrier-Free project at ETH Zurich.

Goals - Disability Rights Action Days

The Disability Rights Action Days offer the opportunity to present new, already planned or implemented measures to the public in order to be able to positively influence the political agenda. During the actions, obstacles can be made visible and tangible. At the same time, practical knowledge is to be imparted in order to be able to design targeted and sustainable actions. An effective network is crucial for this. For this purpose, regular meetings with our action partners take place.
